Don't mourn death of newspaper

The once widely read French tabloid France-Soir will discontinue its print edition today, Thursday, and in future only appear online. The left-liberal daily Libération calls on journalists to quit complaining and develop a concept for tomorrow's newspaper: "There's something to be said for lamenting, sure, but it can also stop people from thinking. The first phase of the digital revolution has certainly destroyed values and incited many fears. But those days are already behind us. This whole industry, our entire profession is developing at breakneck speed. The newspaper of tomorrow has not yet been written; it must still be invented. We live in violent times, but things have never been as thrilling."
