Greek problems must be resolved before elections

Following Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras's resignation, the attempts made by various parties to form an interim government are viewed as having little chance of success. Yet Greece's problems need an immediate solution, the conservative daily Kathimerini warns: "The country needs an experienced transitional prime minister. It also needs trustworthy ministers in key posts. This is absolutely imperative in view of the extremely critical situation. The implementation of the terms agreed with the creditors, the recapitalisation of the banks, the migration crisis - these are all burning issues that can't wait another month. In the next few days the president and political leaders must make decisions that provide an adequate response to the critical situation."
