Greek crisis: Cool Varoufakis has nothing to lose

Now that the Grexit plan of Greece's former Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis has been made public the conservative daily Večernji list speculates on what the future holds: "Varoufakis is such a cool guy that he doesn't care if he destroys his country because he always has Australian citizenship in his back pocket and a career as an economics professor which, together with his experience as Greek finance minister, could put him even more in demand. This is a pretty coldhearted calculation. … But such coldheartedness is the secret of a cool guy. … In Varoufakis' case this cool guy won't perhaps be riding into the sunset on his motorbike, as he imagined. But he might end up in the nick for attempted violation of the constitution through illegal use of Greek tax office data. Or he will continue to earn money all over the world with readings of his crazy insider stories as the 'coolest, most charismatic and intelligent finance minister in history'."
