Refugees in Bulgaria must also be relocated

The quota system proposed by Brussels for distributing refugees among EU member states is aimed at relocating the 40,000 refugees in Greece and Italy. But what about Bulgaria? asks the left-leaning daily Duma: "The influx of refugees to Bulgaria, which is also located on the EU's external border, shouldn't be underestimated. Why aren't these immigrants being distributed across Europe? We must remind the EU Commission that in 2014 the number of applications for asylum in Bulgaria was more than double the EU average. We need a permanent mechanism for the refugees and not just emergency measures to deal with crisis situations. The Dublin Regulation which leaves most refugees in a few countries on the EU's external borders urgently needs to be revised. Because it looks very much like the flow of people fleeing war and poverty won't come to an end any time soon."
