Europe's left missed chance to use the crisis

With an eye to the upcoming European elections the left-liberal daily Delo writes that parties on the left have missed their chance to reach voters: "For the majority of people the changes they propose are too drastic and their ideas too exotic. It's hard to understand how the crisis was also a crisis of the left. After all, it was their moment, they should have seized the opportunity. But they failed dismally. The economic crisis that started in 2008 seemed to be a chance for them - let's not forget, unregulated capitalism bears most of the blame for the collapse. Instead it revealed the complete inability of the leftist parties to offer any alternative whatsoever."
