Delo has been able to maintain its leading position among Slovenia's quality print media since the break-up of Yugoslavia. However as with all other print media Delo has not emerged from the crisis unscathed, and its circulation has dropped considerably over the last ten years. None of its journalists have lost their jobs so far but older members of staff have been advised to consider retirement. The Pivovarna Laško brewery owns an 80 percent stake in the paper.
