Corriere del Ticino



Corriere del Ticino is the most influential daily in the Italian-speaking area of Switzerland and was founded in 1891 in the city of Lugano. Initially the press organ of the conservative Unione party, Corriere became politically independent at the start of the 20th century. The Italian journalist Marcello Foa has managed the newspaper since 2012. Foa is a co-founder of the European Journalism Observatory network.
