Die Tageszeitung taz

The daily newspaper taz emerged out of a congress for alternatively-minded youth of the post '68er generation in West Berlin as a self-managed left-wing project. The taz has a number of distinctive characteristics such as a cooperative as publisher, a staggered price structure and the 'taz-zahl-ich' initiative, which offers users the option to pay for online content. taz staff are paid under tariff.
