Pravda is Slovakia's leading, left-leaning quality daily newspaper, with close ties to Robert Fico's centre-left government. It is mostly read outside the country's capital, Bratislava . Its website is considerably less influential than that of Sme newspaper. Since 1990 Pravda has belonged to the Slovakian joint-stock company Perex, which from 2006 to 2010 was part of the Daily Mail and General Trust media group.
