Andreas, Unger

Born in 1977. Grew up in Lower Bavaria. Obtained a degree in journalism from Ludwig-Maximilians University Munich. Studied international relations at Georgetown University in Washington DC. Attended the German School of Journalism.

Andreas Unger has had internships with Der Tagesspiegel, Die Welt, the Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin and the Sächsische Zeitung. Since 2005 he has worked as a freelance journalist reporting for chrismon, Der Tagesspiegel and brandeins. He has also made programmes for Bavarian Television. In 2007 he won the Weißer Ring prize for journalism. He covers all areas except sport.
