Russia against Polish power station

The Polish investment company Kulczyk Holding (KH) has a contract with the Belarusian energy company Bielenergo for the construction of a coal-fired power station. It won't be easy to put the project into practice, because as Belarus's main trading partner Russia will be against it, writes the conservative daily Rzeczpospolita: "For the construction of a 1.5 billion euro power station several hurdles must be overcome. And as always, they're not of a business nature. The biggest hurdle is likely to be opposition from Russia, because at present it is the main supplier of energy to Belarus. And a power station built by a Polish investor and fired with Polish coal (from the coalmine in Lublin Bogdanka) won't suit them at all. We can expect a plethora of formal and informal protests of the kind we're used to seeing from our friends to the East."
