European elections: Voters for populists deserve respect

We may poke fun at the Eurosceptic and populist parties that triumphed in the European elections but their voters and concerns should be taken seriously, the conservative daily Rzeczpospolita demands: "We can make good jokes or scare the children with stories about the parties. But their voters and their needs should be listened to. Because with their votes they have voiced the fact that they find the EU's course worrying. ... And their concerns are fully justified. They object to the creation of a European super-state that disregards the traditions and customs of the individual nations. And they have rightly recognised the conversion of the EU into a two-speed Europe with Germany and France in the lead as a problem."
