Modesty as trademark

Modesty is the most striking quality of the new Pope Francis, the Christian conservative website believes: "The new pope has chosen the name Francis, showing clearly that he is determined to pay close attention to the new evangelism, and to accentuate the beauty and the vitality of simple Christianity. ... With his simplicity, humility, piety and his interest in social issues, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio has charmed the people. He sets himself apart from other Cardinals through his ascetic lifestyle. ... Several times he has criticised the clericalism and the fondness of many men of the Church for a life of luxury. In this respect it is very symbolic that he bears the name of the saint whose call for humility brought about a true revolution in the Church."
