Turkey must support its Bosnian brothers

Turkey can and must support Bosnia and Herzegovina, columnist İsmail Kılıçarslan writes in the pro-government daily Yeni Şafak: "The Turkish government wants to shoulder responsibility in Bosnia to protect peace and help reconstruct the country. ... Above all, Turkey must do three things: first it must use financial injections to stop the economy from shrinking. Secondly it must draw up a mid- and long-term development plan and convince all sides of its merits. And thirdly, it must lend its support to politicians with whom Turkey can cooperate. The dreams of our Bosnian brothers must not be disappointed. To anyone who asks what business we have in Bosnia, I answer: we have as much business there as in our own country."
