Usain Bolt the new hero of Berlin

The Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt shattered his former world record over 100 metres at the World Championships in Athletics in Berlin. The daily Dnevnik writes that the city is rightly experiencing a wave of Boltomania: "When Bolt set a world record of 9.69 seconds last year [in Beijing] ... it seemed almost impossible, nevertheless everyone knew he could run faster still. ... The race in Berlin was different. For the first time since he's been at the top of his discipline Bolt ran with all his might and showed what he can do. ... Jamaica's 'superman' did not speak his last word in Berlin. ... But it is already clear that after Jesse Owens, who won four gold medals at the 1936 Olympics, Berlin has a new hero. The difference is that those present could openly applaud Bolt, and he won't have to wait 48 years until a street near the Olympic Stadium is named after him."
